+G E N E R A L+

Name: Imani

Name meaning: Faith

Age: 2 cycles

Gender: Female

Tribe: Crooked Tree

Rank: Hunter

+P E R S O N A L+

Gift: Gift of Soothed Sounds: The ability of creating a peaceful, rhythmic melody that brings about harmony to those who've heard it.

Accessories: None (For now)

Physical description: Small silver cheetah with a white underbelly+paws and darker silver/bluish markings. She has long legs with tiny paws and a long tail with a good amount of fluff at the tip. For a cheetah, she's rather fluffy making it harder on her in water and on hot days. She has a silver/bluish and white 'hair' of sorts where half of it is tied in a side braid. She has a white tail tip as well as striking blue eyes.
Her hidden mark is a bright green circle over her left eye with a slender triangle underneath.

Personality: [ Laid-back ] [ Feisty ] [ Serious ] [ Clever ] [ Obsessive-compulsive ] [ Bold/Fearless ] [ Secretly insecure ] [ Soft side ]

Laid-back:While Imani can get pretty worked up at times, otherwise she is a pretty lazy cheetah. When she's in this state of mind, she won't pick arguments with anyone nor will she respond to anyone's challenge. Mostly this occurs on very hot days when she's completely out of it and lacks any energy. She'd find a nice spot under a tree and sleep the day away if she could, but the other cheetahs would probably have her tail for that. Nothing much would matter to her, someone could say something insulting to her and she'd just give them a snarky reply instead of threatening to claw their eyes out. Her patience is doubled when she's laid back, making it much easier to reason with her. However it is possible to snap her out of it, but it would take a lot to shake up a lazy cheetah.

Feisty: Imani doesn't just let others get away with trying to take a shot at her. She always retaliates, even on her laziest days she does with a little something. There is a wide range of what she'd respond with going from a scratch on the nose to just merely snapping at them. She seems to really enjoy arguing, she says it keeps her life interesting. She likes to pick fights when others prefer to just stay out of her way, she needs her daily dose of action after all. If a tom was ever to be foolish enough to try flirting with her, she'd just shoot them down right away. She doesn't exactly approve of sweet talk, never has been able to see any good reason behind it. It'd be incredibly hard for any cheetah to even stay long enough to become a friend or something more, it would take someone very outgoing and patient to put up with her.

Serious: Imani's no jokester. She prefers to take things seriously and never would be described as anything even remotely close to 'comic relief'. Actually, in a bad situation Imani is much more of a pessimistic cheetah and would be much more likely to make the whole thing worse. She rarely smiles and even more uncommon is if someone really manages to make her laugh in a sincere way, otherwise her laughter is merely dark and tinted with sarcasm. She's not a flatterer either. If she had the option to lie to someone to be polite or tell the truth which may not be so nice, she's tell the truth all the time. She's quite candid in that sense, making her a little unpopular for cheetahs who just wanted some praise out of her. Though, if someone ever wanted the direct truth about something than Imani would never disappoint!

Clever: Imani is actually very bright. While her personality may not be so pretty, she definitely makes up for it in the smarts department. She's quite tactical and a strategist, which may have suited her better if she had become a hunter or a sentry instead, but she is rather frail and not a good fighter by any means. She always has a witty comment on the tip of her tongue and, along with her boldness, she is never afraid to let it loose. While she can be quite argumentative, she is smart enough to know who not to mess with. The chief, for example, is someone she wouldn't even dream of challenging and she stays out if his way if she's in a bad mood so that she doesn't accidently say something that could dig her own grave. However, she could still think what she has on her tongue in the presence of a higher up, but she wouldn't say it out loud. At least not in front of them.

Obsessive-compulsive: Imani has pretty obvious OCD. She won't let anything tough her if she believes it to be dirty and will often call others filthy, telling them to stay away from her. She is constantly grooming her fur and gets up early sometimes just to make it all nice and clean for the day. On other days she gets cranky when woken up early, but that's only when she has to for her duties ect. She hates water and only goes near it when she's thirsty. If ever splashed, she would get very upset. Not upset in a crying sort of way, upset as in she would give the culprit a good clawing no matter who or what it is. Then she would go to a secluded place and spend a good amount of the day drying herself off and cursing whoever splashed her. She also is not one to forgive and forget, she's a master grudge holder.

Bold/Fearless: Imani isn't afraid of anything, or so she says but that's a topic for another trait. She isn't afraid to challenge someone to stand up for herself or what she believes in. Sometimes on rare occasion she will stand up for someone else, but again that is a topic for another trait. She isn't afraid of bugs and will crush them under her paw without a second thought, but of course she would spend hours cleaning that paw after. She prides herself in being 'fearless' as she would take any dare someone gave her, even if it was to place a thorn in the chief's nest. She'd do it, hopefully she wouldn't get caught but she'd still do it. Of course she isn't stupid though, if someone told her to jump off a cliff she would bite their ears.

Secretly insecure: Though Imani may seem fearless with her attitude and rough nature, she actually is afraid of something. She's afraid of getting close to others. Not close as in touching, close as in getting to know and love someone as her friend. It's all due to her cubhood troubles that she had to endure. When things happen to you when you were little but you can still remember, it changes you and has a large influence on your life. On the inside, she really dislikes herself. She knows how horrible she can be but she doesn't do anything to change it, she just silently hates herself and calls herself trash on the inside. It doesn't show on the outside, but it's there and only someone who knew her well would know of how insecure she actually is.

Soft side: Despite all Imani's personality traits, she actually has a soft side when it comes to certain things. She loves anything that is too small to protect itself, she feels that it's her duty to protect them and finds them adorable. She would never lay a claw on a cub or a small animal that is cub-sized. That's where she uses her gift, she likes to settle down with some nice cubs or small animals and creates beautiful soothing sounds for them to enjoy, which is why certain small animals aren't afraid of the cheetah even with her sharp teeth and claws, they know she would never harm them. With cubs though, she doesn't like to let anyone see her soft side to ruin her reputation so she doesn't spend time with them in the open.

Brief History: [ 'When I was young. . .' ] [ 'A world away, my last farewell. . .' ] [ 'Training days. . .' ] [ 'More hurt that necessary. . .' ] [ 'Finally, I fulfilled my promise. . .' ]

'When I was young. . .': Imani was born to a young mother and father, both from loners who lived in a new land. She was born the youngest of three cubs and she was also the weakest little runt. Though other lone cheetahs still took a shine to her pretty silver pelt which neither of her brothers had. While her mother loved her dearly, as she had always wanted a little daughter, her father was disgusted with the little thing. He ignored the little cub and only paid attention to the other two. When it was time to name them, he wanted to name her something that meant 'ugly', 'weak', or 'useless' but the mother wouldn't stand for that and instead named her 'Imani' which means 'faith' because she really believed that her little daughter would get stronger and grow into a fine cheetah. Her brothers were both named strong names, suitable for the durable little cubs that they were. Her father was a very respected lone with a well muscled body and was very much admired by females for his charming nature. Her mother was a simple young cheetah when she had gotten pregnant with his cubs after a 'one-night-stand' sort of thing. He was hesitant to become her mate but he felt that he would loose all the respect other had for him if he didn't, so that was the start of their awful relationship. They argued and fought all the time, especially when it was made very obvious that he preferred his sons and never even slightly considered Imani 'his'. Her mother didn't mind all that much because she constantly whispered in her little daughter's ear that she would love her enough for both parents.

'A world away, my last farewell. . .': Imani loved playing with her brothers when she was up to it physically and they adored her despite how much their father disapproved of them playing with her. They always were mindful of her weakness and played games that they were sure she wouldn't get hurt in, they were wonderful brothers and Imani was very happy. But one cold winter came and so did an illness that killed many lone cheetahs, including both of her two brothers. It was slow at first, they both only had a little bit of it and it was not enough to really worry about but soon it got so bad that the two of them had to move out of the nest to avoid passing on the illness to their little sister. Imani liked to visit them anyway though, staying at a distance as she was told but they still talked like they used to, but they couldn't play anymore. That broke all their hearts and Imani tried to play catch with them sometimes, but that soon got stopped because she could catch their illness from something they touched. The two little cubs soon knew that they were going to die after they watched multiple other cheetahs die of the same illness. They told their sister to become a great cheetah and to prove their father wrong. Clueless, Imani didn't know that that would be the last time she would ever speak to her beloved brothers. Strangely enough though, she didn't get it all that bad. Only an early stage while her brothers both got it so bad they coughed up blood before they were finally put out of their misery. While her mother was overjoyed that she lived, her father hated that he had lost his sons. Imani was distraught when she realized that her brothers were gone and would never come back. This was the start of her father's abuse towards Imani, whom he then knew that he could no longer ignore.

'Training days. . .': Imani then became a sort of 'apprentice' to her ambitious and judgmental father. Her father had taken to set a supreme goal for his daughter and had begun to train her himself. He was aware of her weaknesses but he forced her to overcome them by constantly pushing her boundaries. It tired the poor cub but she had begun to feel insecure because she felt that she would never live up to her father's lofty expectations. Her mother was powerless to help her as whenever she tried, her mate always got the better of her and made it clear that in that family his word was law. Her training days were peaceful until she really started to mess up in her training with her father and he started to beat her as punishment. Sometimes nipping her and pushing her down, leaving bruises and sometimes cuts. During all the abuse, her mother started to come up with a way that she may get her daughter away from her horrid father. Then, in the middle of the night she snuck Imani out of the den and led her to a place with an elderly lone female cheetah who would take care of her for the rest of her young days and teach her how to run and hunt and how to take care of herself. Though she was now safe, she still showed some fear of her father, later to be replaced with a burning hatred for him that only resulted in revolution. The elderly cheetah tried to become like a parental figure to young Imani, but the damage was already done and she had already become a bit bitter to others and herself. She'd changed a bit from the small, lovable, harmless cub she had once been.

'More hurt than necessary. . .': Imani trained hard and became quite fast when she was finally able to focus mostly on her speed rather than fighting skills. She avoided her father and never saw him anymore, her mother told her that she made it out like she had been killed during a hunt. The elderly cheetah and her mother were proud of her and life was good for the young cheetah as she neared the end of her training. She was growing older and was becoming a full grown cheetah, bringing home nice kills and showing supreme improvement on her speed. The elderly cheetah was very happy for her and was grateful that finally it seemed like she was brushing off the abuse of her past. But one day her mother arrived at their den, bleeding from a deep cut on her stomach. The elderly cheetah, who was also very skilled in herbal medicines, tried to treat her but it was no use as the cheetah continued to bleed out in horrible agony. Imani stayed with her mother until she breathed her last. Neither her nor the elderly cheetah knew what had caused it as her mother had been incapable of speaking, but they decided that it was a safe assumption that it was her father who had done such a thing. Or that is what Imani wanted to believe, the elderly cheetah remained in somewhat denial. She was the time who always wanted to see something good in everyone. Months later, the elderly cheetah decided that Imani was old enough to be on her own and that she didn't need her to look after her anymore. The elderly cheetah told her that her life was nearly over and that Imani should go off and start her life, though Imani worried for her. She left early the next morning with so much regret in her heart that she was leaving her.

'Finally, I fulfilled my promise. . .': Imani was hunting one morning when she came across what seemed to be a gathering of cheetahs. She laid low, not wanting to get attacked by the strangers. She watched them for a while, wondering who they were as she had never seen any of the cheetahs she knew to be loners gathering in one place for very long. They fascinated her and she decided to get closer one day. A group of them caught her and brought her to their camp, where she was held and then she asked if she could join them. She didn't understand the importance of those cheetahs at first, but they explained and Imani slowly began to get it. She thought long and hard about it, eventually deciding to join for good as she never liked being on her own anyway. She was accepted as a hunter and received her gift when it was apparent that she was dead set on staying. She liked being in a group, though she began to keep to herself due to her personality. But still, just the thought of being with others was enough to keep her happy.

(This part of the story is going to have things added after various roleplays)

+S E X U A L+

Sexuality: Straight

Status: Single / Not crushing / Not particularly looking

Type: [ Personality-wise ] [ Appearance-wise ]

Personality-wise: Imani likes a guy who knows how to take care of himself. Someone who's not a push-over and is willing to assert their presence. So basically, she likes someone who's just as bold as her even though they'd likely butt-heads a lot of the time. But someone who's cuddly as well so they could always make up after a little argument. More than anything, she wants someone with a good sense of humor to tide over her usual seriousness and someone who's caring enough to respect her.

Appearance-wise: A sturdy cheetah, one who wouldn't loose a fight so easily. Imani fantasizes about being cradled in the strong shoulders of a large cheetah. Light colored eyes like her own is an instant turn-on. Though she doesn't much care about pelt color, she would prefer someone with more spots than her, for she is frustrated with how little spots she has for her species.

Roleplay Example:

Imani's silvery tail swished lazily among the grass as the silent area was only slightly unsettled by her soft snores. Her paws twitched and her eyes flickered as she slowly began to wake up. The previous night she had been awoken by another cheetah kicking her in his sleep. Imani, too tired to give his foot a sharp nip, had just wandered out of the area and had apparently laid down and fallen asleep beneath a tree not too far from the camp. She slowly stretched and gave her shoulder a quick lick as she glanced up at the horizon, brushing the hair out of her eyes so she could see. She blinked as the sun was just merely glinting on the dew-covered grasses. She yawned as she stood up to walk back to camp, if she was gone too long the tribe might try to look for her. 'Ugh, what a bother. . .' Imani thought as she flicked her ear in frustration. She poked her head into the camp to make sure nobody saw her sneaking back inside before she quickly but quietly entered the den to return to her nest.

(To be honest though, how much or how little I write depends on the roleplay and the roleplay partner. This is more of a median.)

EDIT 2: I'm in! Feel free to ask to roleplay with me, I don't bite haha Imani might but that's your character's problem eheheheh I will add your character in the relationships as soon as the roleplay starts and I will finish it as soon as it's over, so don't worry about not being added! :3

EDIT: Finally finished! When I send this in, please look this over and if there is anything I need to change please just tell me and I will, thank you!~

I'm planning on re-joining, or at least trying to, The-Hidden-Key Which was one of my favorite roleplay groups before I left >_<

I know the group isn't open, so I'm going to keep typing away at this app to make it as good as I can ^^ I really just want to be a member of one roleplay group where I can put all my activity towards, since school beats down on me even this early in the year.
